ANSI files depend on terminal fonts, code pages, palettes, and character-cell sizes. Frederic Cambus built a converter so old ASCII and ANSI artwork could become viewable in browsers while keeping its original formats legible. The file isn’t the whole artifact; the renderer is part of the preservation.
