Marc Merlin’s page records a Silicon Valley Linux gathering with people from Red Hat, VA Research, Caldera, and SGI—plus the 10BaseT network and food. Company histories list organizations; this event page shows people sharing a room, plugging in machines, and building a community before Linux became invisible infrastructure. Even the snacks are historical data.
